Bring that personality to your work, don’t hide it.

The work that you do requires you to show up and be a professional, that’s good. But the one thing we need to always be mindful is that the work requires you to be present in order to flourish, and that means bringing your full personality to your work. Do you know why brands stand out? It’s not what they say they are, but what they do.

The brand personality comes through in the work that is taken out, think of Volvo and their promise for safety and their “safe adverts”. We need to always remember that great work will never exist in the presence of trying to hide your personality and being professional emulating an industrial worker. The best breakout work requires us to fully engage and be our authentic selves. With all the time we are spending at work, should we not be free and be ourselves as we engage with the work?

If you love to dance, then find opportunity to dance. If you love eating, then make it fun a t work. If you love to joke around, then let that come out strongly and embrace it.
