Over the last few days, chicken licken has launched their spoof advert that was a way to celebrate the launch of wakanda forever as it debuted is SA. The production was brilliant, at most times, even convincing that this was an advert of the highest quality.
The only thing that was running through my mind was that, I was the same level of brilliance was done in the improvement of the salt content on their chicken. As I type this, I know that no matter how much I love the brand and their content, I will not be rushing anytime soon to buy their big John burger. Also, given that they are known for their chicken and wings, I have seen over many times that buying a burger at a chicken licken is probably the longest waits that you will even encounter.
So as much as I don't have access to the sales performance data as a result of these big hits, I am reminded that the KPI that matter some times is not even about how great the content is.
