The awesome thing about Marketing is that we always are in a position to collect data and review the things that do not work. Whether this is an idea that never made it past your fellow team members, or an idea that went all the way to the Market but did not get the required traction. In almost any of the cases, when something does not work it truly allows us to collect the data and then review and look for opportunities to improve the process.
The Marketing that truly stands out and gains momentum is anchored in constant improvement and testing, reviewing of data and looking for ways to do things better. There is an unhealthy amount of time spent looking at the overall picture and finding ways to do it better, and actually make things work.
Sometimes having the ability to learn and realise what is not working is our absolute greatest asset as it will enable us to continue climbing up and making all our work that much better.
