Our products and services only exist because there are people in the community that require the service. So while it is sometimes easy to work towards building a strong competitive brands, we need to remind ourselves that brands only exists if the community that we serve is thriving. It is in our absolute best interest to make an active contribution in the communities that we operate in.


Imagine if there were no people who had enough money to buy cars? Or there was no petrol stations or attendants for us to pour petrol in our cars. The car maker needs to play an active role in the community that is linked to the success of its cars. The petroleum ecosystem, the car parts industry. We all have sectors of the community that need to continue to thrive for our businesses to rise to new heights.


What has your contribution been to your industry? How are you serving the industry that has enabled you to have a career and make profits for the brand that you manage? Without active brand citizenship, we are merely taking from the communities and will wonder down the line why our industries are not thriving anymore.
