We produce products and services with the hope that they solve customer pain points and that the customer is in a better position once they have purchased our product. This is the kind of sales that is not sneaky or trying to push product to our customers. Essentially, it is at this point that Marketing is measured, to see if all the Marketing efforts have yielded results.
It is important that the work that we do aligns with the sales that we achieve. It is a part that we must always be proud of, because this shows that we are still adding a great amount of value for our customers and as a result they keep buying / consuming our product. There is magic that exists between how we approach marketing to the sales that we generate.
It then makes sense that sales and marketing should at all times co-exist and work closely together in order to show that we are driving the desired outcomes (sales) with the marketing inputs (advertising, communications, brand etc)
