There is an interesting passage that I read this morning on the book good to great, which looks at how unsustainable the one genius in an organization model is. I thought this is also very true within Marketing, that as a leader of a team, our role is not to be the ones coming up with the great campaign ideas but we are merely around to enable the ideas to come out and give the ideas enough support to be realized.
We need to actively work with our teams at each and every level to enable them to succeed. Getting the right team and creating the right culture can be the catalyst that we need to continue producing our best work. Great teams are the catalyst for great work, and we can never downplay the importance in having this in place.

As opposed to chasing the ideas and work, chase the people that are required for you to do the great work.
