Depending on the type of organization that you work in, the moment you get into the office there will always be something that needs your attention. We are constantly switched on, whether via our mobile phones with the notifications or a simple phone call. Meetings are the order of the day and deadlines will always come up when you least expect them.

This is the modern day world of Marketing and although it can get busy it is worth making a special note that we do a lot of thinking work, which requires us to pause, reflect and actually apply rigour. We don’t usually make great decisions when we are in a hurry, so we need to find spaces that will allow us to slow down and do the thinking that our work needs. The amazing work that we will produce when we slow down and do the thinking is the work that will never be seen, but will create more opportunity for our work than anything else.
