There is a current state of marketing with any brand, and that is simply that the market has a lot of options for your customers and we need to understand that when they chose our brand, they are essentially saying no to another brand. With the many options that customers have, it is very important that we find opportunity to offer without an expectation of getting something back.


Although nothing is really free, we need to understand that something offered to customers as a free surprise, can actually build better chances for us in the market for our product to be purchased once the free one is done. Retail usually has a deep understanding on this and will continue to use sampling as a way for its product to land in the hands of consumers.


Advantages are as follows for giving something free to customers;

· It is better to get more people to know your product through a free sample or full product.

· It is better to market to people that have experienced your product that someone that is hearing about your product for the first time.

· When budgets are extremely tight, offering a free product to your audience is a very smart way to get traction on marketing and potential work of mouth.
