Understand the stage the customer is in!

Just to show how challenges the current marketing landscape is, you will sometimes find yourself being exposed to a marketing message that does not align to the stage that you are in within the buying process. Think about if you start looking for a car, then do all the research for a car and once you have made a purchase of the car, you start getting advertising about cars.


Our biggest challenge within marketing is actually understanding the stage the customer is in their purchase cycle, and then be able to serve them with the right advert that will allow them to either do further research, buy or learn more about the product.


Thinking in these terms means that we start to drive an understanding of behaviour and then advertising, as opposed to the obsession with demographics that says nothing about the stage a customer is in. in everything in life, there is always a cycle where each brand or individual is in, and we need to cons
