As we look towards the rest of the year, I have great news for everyone that is in marketing – it will probably get even more challenging than what is has been and it won’t be getting any easier. This means that no matter your industry, marketing will continue problem solving on the rapidly changing needs and wants of customers.
The reality for all of us Marketers is that we are marketing our products to people, and by their very definition people are complex and with Covid-19, their lives have all become very complex within a short space of time. The way people are working has changed. The way information is being consumed has changed. We need to as a focus understand the context of their daily lives and how our brands need to show up.
This means that there will be a lot of researching and analyzing of data to come to terms with the changes that are happening in the market. Data and research is just the beginning as we will then need a lot of creativity in actually getting our brand messages out, in the most effective manner.
